We got our start in telephone, cable TV, and Internet engineering or operations departments. Some consider us experts in Media Center offices (combined telephone, cable and internet offices). Operations issues are part of engineering networks so Interconnection database population/exchange of data for operations is absolutely critical. Access and Backbone networks are the lifeline to the network, so we have experience with baseband protocol such as IPTV, DVB-S2, QAM, KPSK, GigE, SONET, FSAN/PON, CMTS, ATM, Frame-Relay, VoIP, SIP, MGCP, H.323, 802.11x, 802.16x, LDAP, DNS, and a slew of others.
For over 14 years, we have helped introduced new technologies into the PSTN by first getting other carriers to adopt the technology, the platform and the methods for interconnection. We have participated in creation of more than 150 Telcordia (formerly Bellcore Generic Requirements), worked inside of Alliance for Telephone Industry Solutions (ATIS, formerly Exchange Carrier Standards Association), for the introduction of more than 100 new carrier interconnection issues. We have worked on FCC committees, State regulator committees and industry associations such as USTA and COMPTEL. We have introduced new technologies to industry trade associations such as ATIS/ECSA, Telcordia, Open Cable Labs, IETF, USTA, COMPTEL, Tele-strategies and NTCA.
